Emna Jeblaoui has served as an independent adviser to the president of Tunisia’s National Constituent Assembly concerning matters of democratic dialogue and civil society, and as a consultant with the UNDP’s Training Center for the National Assembly. Ms. Jeblaoui is also the executive director of Tunisia’s International Institute for Human Development (l’IDH) and as an assistant professor in the Faculty of Letters, Art, and Humanities at the University of Manouba. A recognized expert on Tunisian civil society and human rights, she sits on the advisory board of the Arab Institute for Human Rights and is a founding member of the Averroes Foundation for Progress and Democracy. She has also served as a consultant to the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and Manouba University’s Institute for Press and Information Sciences. Ms. Jeblaoui holds degrees from the University of Paris-Sorbonne IV and the University of Manouba.
